We will learn about the challenges of Laboratory Medicine in low- and middle-income countries, related to three aspects: the redefinition of its leadership, the impact of laboratory tests on the health system, and the advantages of a transformation towards a clinical laboratory. 4.0.

The need to redefine the leadership culture of the Clinical Laboratory in a changing world for the benefit of patients will be discussed and the advantages, challenges and risks of the fourth industrial revolution in clinical laboratories will be recognized.
