The 4th Industrial revolution brought many innovations to the industry and business world and introduced new technologies to laboratories: autonomous robots, the smart lab applications, Internet of Things, augmented reality, cloud computing, cyber security, big data & analytics, etc. Although automation and data analysis are familiar to clinical laboratories, it’s reality that laboratories will face new challenges due to increasing innovative techniques and big data.
