Single cell and spatial transcriptomics, the sequencing of RNA from single cells and defined regions of tissues, are becoming routine in the research setting.
This IFCC webinar will discuss the potential for future clinical application of these technologies by discussing recent advances in applying single cell RNA sequencing to diagnosis of inflammatory skin diseases as well as the potential for clinical application of spatial transcriptomics to oncology.
Finally the statistical challenges associated with spatial and single cell RNA profiling, an area which will need close attention for future clinical implementation, will be addressed.
