In this presentation, we used moving average to evaluate the real-time clinical performance of different assays. Our aim was to explore implementing moving average (MA) to enhance internal quality control and address the challenges and opportunities it presents in implementing in the medical labs. We applied Van Rossum's method to select, optimize, and validate MA procedures for use in a laboratory with a small daily testing volume. We will share our experience implementing MA QC for multiple routine chemistry, hematology and immunology parameters. Herein, we will discuss how the MA QC tool can help us monitor shifts and trends. Additionally, we'll cover the workflow for managing MA alerts.
