Dr. Wittfooth is Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the Department of Life Technologies of the University of Turku in Finland. Her research has been focused on developing highly sensitive innovative immunoassays especially for novel cardiac biomarkers. In her laboratory assays have been developed e.g. for long cardiac troponin T, troponin autoantibodies and free PAPP-A.
