Erik Oehlenschlaeger graduated aa M.SC in Physics and Mathematics from Copenhagen University, Denmark, in 1983. He has taught Physics and mathematics at Holbaek Gymnasium 1984-1986 and from 1986 – 2001 as Associate Professor at Haslev and Copenhagen Engineering colleges and has written several Physics Textbooks. He joined DANAK 2001 as a Lead Assessor and was Manager of Section 2003 – 2016 and ILAC AIC (Accreditation Committee) chair 2017-2023. Erik has since 2003 been involved with work in the Metrology sector and been member of the EA Laboratory Committee and EA Calibration WG and similar work within ILAC, where he has convened work on several documents e.g. ILAC G8, P10 and P14. During his term as the ILAC AIC chair he has been involved in forming the ILAC input to the ISO 15189:2022 revision. He also does assessments primarily within the medical sector (clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology and genetics) and has been an EA peer evaluator since 2019. Finally, he is responsible for the training courses on ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 in DANAK.
