I have worked at the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) for the past 17 years. NATA was the first accreditation body worldwide, a founding member of ILAC and recognised by the Commonwealth as the National Laboratory Accreditation Body. The NATA/RCPA accreditation program was the first pathology accreditation program worldwide. I am Head of Delegation representing Standards Australia at TC 212 and also act as the ILAC Liaison to TC 212. My current position as the Sector Manager Legal & Clinical Services gives me responsibility for the technical oversight of Human Pathology, Forensic Science, Medical Imaging, Biobanking and Sleep Disorders Services programs. I trained in predominantly Biochemistry in the UK and worked as a senior scientist at various hospitals in London and in Private and Public Pathology in Australia.
